She-Crab Soup
Ingredients Needed for She-Crab Soup

🛒 Ingredients:
- 🦀 She-Crab Meat: 300g (fresh or canned)
- 🧈 Butter: 2 tbsp
- 🧅 Onion: 1 medium, chopped
- 🧄 Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
- 🥕 Carrot: 1 large, diced
- 🌽 Corn: 1 cup, fresh or frozen
- 🥣 Chicken or Seafood Broth: 4 cups
- 🧂 Salt and Pepper: To taste
- 🌿 Thyme: 1 tsp
- 🥄 Old Bay Seasoning: 1 tbsp
- 🥛 Heavy Cream: 1 cup
- 🧀 Sherry or White Wine: 1/4 cup (optional)
- 🌱 Bay Leaves: 2
- 🍋 Lemon Juice: 1 tbsp
- 🌿 Fresh Parsley: Chopped, for garnish
🕒 Instructions:
- Sauté the Veggies (⏱️ 5 minutes):
- In a large pot, melt 🧈 butter over medium heat. Add 🧅 onion, 🧄 garlic, and 🥕 carrot. Sauté until softened (about 5 minutes).
- Add Broth and Spices (⏱️ 5 minutes):
- Pour in the 🥣 chicken or seafood broth. Add 🧂 salt, pepper, 🌿 thyme, 🥄 Old Bay seasoning, and 🌱 bay leaves. Stir and bring to a boil.
- Simmer the Soup (⏱️ 25 minutes):
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, until vegetables are tender and flavors are well combined.
- Add She-Crab Meat (⏱️ 5 minutes):
- Add 🦀 she-crab meat and cook for 5 minutes until heated through.
- Finish with Cream and Lemon (⏱️ 5 minutes):
- Stir in 🥛 heavy cream, 🍋 lemon juice, and (optional) 🧀 sherry or white wine. Simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes until creamy and smooth.
- Serve and Garnish:
- Remove the bay leaves. Ladle soup into bowls and garnish with 🌿 fresh parsley.
