  • 🧅 Onion: 1 medium, diced
  • 🥕 Carrot: 1, diced
  • 🥔 Potatoes: 2 medium, peeled and cubed
  • 🌽 Corn Kernels: 3 cups (fresh, canned, or frozen)
  • 🥣 Chicken or Vegetable Broth: 4 cups
  • 🥛 Heavy Cream: 1 cup (or milk for a lighter version)
  • 🧂 Salt and Pepper: To taste
  • 🌿 Fresh Thyme: 1 tsp (or dried)
  • 🧄 Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • 🧀 Cheddar Cheese: Optional, shredded for garnish
  • 🌿 Chopped Parsley or Chives: For garnish

🕒 Instructions:

  1. Cook Beef Bacon (Optional) (⏱️ 5 min):
    In a large pot, cook diced 🥓 beef bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pot.
  2. Sauté Vegetables (⏱️ 5 min):
    Add 🧅 onion, 🧄 garlic, and 🥕 carrot to the pot. Cook in the bacon drippings (or olive oil for a vegetarian option) until softened.
  3. Add Potatoes and Broth (⏱️ 10 min):

  4. Add Corn and Cream (⏱️ 5 min):
    Stir in 🌽 corn and 🥛 cream. Cook for 5 minutes, allowing flavors to meld. For a thicker texture, blend half the soup and return it to the pot.
  5. Season and Serve:
