Sopa de Lima Recipe (Mexican Lime Soup)
A traditional dish from Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, sopa de lima is a spicy, flavorful chicken and tomato soup

Ingredients :
- 🐓 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 🥣 6 cups chicken broth
- 🧅 1 medium onion, diced
- 🌶️ 2 jalapeños, seeded and chopped
- 🥕 2 medium carrots, sliced
- 🍅 2 tomatoes, diced
- 🧄 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 🌿 1 teaspoon oregano
- 🧂 Salt and pepper to taste
- 🍋 4 limes, juiced
- 🌮 4 corn tortillas, cut into strips and fried until crispy

Instructions:
- Prepare the base:
- In a large pot, heat some oil and sauté the onions, garlic, and jalapeños until fragrant.
- Cook the soup:
- Add the carrots, tomatoes, oregano, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 20 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Add chicken and lime:
- Stir in the shredded chicken and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve and garnish:
- Ladle the soup into bowls and top with crispy tortilla strips. Garnish with additional lime slices and fresh cilantro if desired.
